Review of CDI5 Project Achievement

The 5th phase of Community Development Initiative project is coming to an end. The program is initiated and funded by BP and its co-venturers in Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) and, South Caucasian Pipeline (SCP) companies. CDI had been initiated in Georgia from 2003 in communities of Kvemo Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti region along SCP and BTC Pipelines route.

Open Door

On Friday, March 2, the Center for Training and Consultancy (CTC) hosted Open Door consultation on sub-grant competition, announced under the project "Advancing Regions for Sustainable Development" (ARSD).

Participants from universities and non-governmental organizations got an additional information regarding the competition procedures and other thematic issues. Together with the project team, the representative of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia responded several questions asked from attendees.

Aleks Video is the name of the small business established within Community Development Initiative project in the village of Ozni, in Tsalka Municipality. Before the establishment of his private business Aleksey Anesian worked as an operator assistant and used to film wedding and other commemorative ceremonies for more than five years.

Results of the third grant competition of Small Business Development Project 2

The third grant contest announced within the frames of the Small Business Development Project 2 came to end. The project is initiated and financed by the BP and its partners in Georgia Pipeline Company. The objective of the project is deepening positive relations between BP and communities along the WREP route by investing in communities that demonstrate commitment to provide positive contribution for sustainable improvement in communities and to maintain and enhance sustainability of social-economic development.

Professional training for the beginning beekeepers

The Small Business Development Project 2 envisages capacity building of the supported micro-entrepreneurs through providing diverse training sessions. Within the frames of this component the vocational courses were held for the beginner beekeepers in Patara Jikhaishi village of Khoni municipality on 2 and 3 June this year. The training courses were delivered by the Chairman of Georgian Beekeepers Association Mr. Temuri Gogoberidze, 15 people participated in total.

NonProfit Management Training Program becomes a joint certified program of CTC and Ilia State University

We are happy to inform that the Academic Council of Ilia State University approved the certified program - "Non-Profit Management" dveloped by the Centre for Training and Consultancy.

From now on program participants will be awarded joint certificae of CTC and Ilia State University.

The training program has been developed within the EWMI ACCESS project supported by USAID
